4. I got a kick out of how Mace Windu turned Sidious' dark side lightning back on the bastard, aging him 30 years in seconds. Of course, then Anakin showed up, cut Windu's arm off, and Sidious finished the Jedi master off with a blast of lightning.

I'm not taking your crap on this. Do you know how to read? Apparently not. This, from the f*cking thread title:
Post your Revenge of the Sith Reviews and Commentary here!
I know you don't know this, but I've had a horrible week — my father had a heart attack and a dear co-worker died of rapid-spreading cancer after being diagnosed less than a two weeks ago.
Suffice to say, your being "spoiled" in a thread whose title clearly marked it as such is of trivial concern to me.
Good day.

Sorry to hear about your father, Gate. And the co-worker as well.
And yes - since this thread is clearly about the movie, coupled with the fact that I specifically asked for reviews and commentary, spoiler boxes are unecessary. As long as we're talking about Star Wars films, of course...
Anakin lost his hand to Darth Tyrannus in Episode II. It's explained in Episode III how Anakin came to need the heavy breathing equipment to live, and how his head became so monstrous.
A few more thoughts on Episode III:
13. The part about Qui-Gon's individual essence surviving on in the Force felt tacked-on to me, as it was mentioned by Yoda only in the last minute or so of the movie, and Qui-Gon himself never appears as a Force ghost.
14. Insofar as I can tell, Palpatine told the truth only *once* during the movie, and that was when he told Anakin that, in his rage, he killed Padme Amidala. Which he did — he killed her will to live, and she died moments after giving birth to Luke and Leia. Palpatine is definitely a master manipulator. That or everyone around him are imbeciles. Probably a bit of both.

The introduction of "Episode" numbers, and the renaming of certain films, is as much an insult to the intelligence of the audience as is the character of Jar-Jar. The fact that these two things occurred during the same movie is even more fitting.

Well remember it was Qui-Gon's voice shouting 'no' when Anakin massacred the sandpeople in episode 2.
What a fabulous movie! As I was saying, all the prequals were leading up to this and it sure did not dissapoint. The CGI which looked somewhat cheesy back in TPM is jaw dropping here. This is the best looking movie I've ever seen. It blows LOTR trilogy out of the water. The action is non stop and the dialogue isn't bad (as good as the original trilogy). McGregor is perfect as Obi-Wan, Christensen plays Anakin well, and McDiamid is excellent as Palpatine.
I would have liked to have seen Anakin's fall more streached out, but the movie was over 2 hours as it was! That said, I was satisfied that keeping Padme alive turned him.
And I like the visual touches at the end. Padme's burial procession shows that they faked the twins dying when Padme did.
And how much fun to see a proto-Death Star?
I'd have to say this is perhaps the best Star Wars movie aside from ESB.
I give it an A!

el freako is correct. Qui-Gon was screaming NO as Anakin killed the Sandpeople when Yoda was meditating.

Yep, like the aging of Palpy by Windu's deflection. It seemed like he planned it that way. To make him seem even MORE weak, thus having Anakin 'save' him and to show the Senate that the Jedi tried to kill him.
Er... didn't Leia mention remembering her mother in ROTJ?
Leia was born second, so I guess that is where that comes from... remember Leia is force sensitive as well.

Actually the introduction of Episode numbers was in ESB, which was called Episode V.

I think probably the vast majority of people know The Big Twist in Star Wars–that is, but of course we have to be nice and spoiler-box it. Now, I’m more than a smidgen too young to have actually watched the original Star Wars in theaters, and it just occurred to me: Were people actually surprised/shocked/awed at this Big Twist? Did the more Star Wars-savvy types have it all figured out already? I was thumbing through my handy “translate random words into twenty-six languages” book when I ca...
You bring up a good point though. So many people rant and rave about Greedo shooting first... what about the addition of Episodes and calling "Star Wars", "A New Hope"?
Oh, and for all the haters of the changes, "midichlorians" are mentioned again .
