Installing sound systems, handling entrance fees, vestiary, decoration, the bar... but I go to different parties than you do I think.

No doubt. I haven't been to a party in 25 years. Get togethers with friends, 4 to 8 people is the norm.

That would count, wouldn't it. Maybe a million people in that party.

Currently: It looks like I'm on the eve of victory over the evil forces of management. For over two years, they've been hiring only temps for my local; then once the temps are trained, they're canned and replaced them with inexperience people, who are trained and then canned. It's a cost-savings measure.

My next campaign: Uor universal health care for all California reisdents by rallying support for SB 840, also known as the California Health Insurance Reliability Act. CHIRA

State supplied health for the poor has worked in Oregon, kinda. They're cutting way back on it now. It gets abused and medical is so expensive. It would be cheaper to ship people to the Phils for major stuff, but that would never happen.

Glad to hear you're winning over management Zkrib.

How?? You practially have to point a gun a me to get me to go to the doctor. Are people going in for multiple colonoscopies? How many times can you have your appendix taken out??

Well I'm not poor either. Our health insurance paid 90% and we paid the other >>>$1800<<< on my appendix. No complications, no burst apendix, in overnight, total of $18,000.

Also, poor people who might not take their kid in without 'free' coverage will do so for every little thing. A cold...and an emergency room visit is $800.

There just isn't enough money to cover the need.

I spent a few months volunteering at a nearby animal shelter. I actually worked there for 2 weeks between real jobs, and loved the dogs so much I would come back on weekends to walk them and play with them. I should start doing that again.
