Warm baths are good because it helps to numb the ache caused by the large gashes in the wrists...

that's why you find so many suicides in bath tubs.

Actually, suicides are found in warm baths because it widens the blood vessels, meaning blood loss is quicker and clots a lot less easily.

Oh, and yeah, it does help with bad moods. And stress. And anxiety etcetcetc. Probably worth a try.

See, I may be incapable of sorting out my own life, but I can deal with everyone elses - elevation of moods to suicide tips, I do the whole range

I used to - but only because I was told to. Providing the supervisor isn't around I can actually give them some decent advice that is less likely to result in death.

Edit: I like that nickname though...the suicidator....like the terminator only for emos.....not bad.

You should dare them to do it.

                    Maybe even double dare.

No. I think it's probably illegal, and I'd just feel a failure if they didn't do it right and then sued me.

.....though I have advocated 'minor lacerations' instead of slitting their wrists in the past. Which definitely isn't on. Don't tell anyone.

And I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this thread has become a spam fest.

Ok, to attempt to drag this thread back on topic.....

a couple of years ago my 'community involvement' was volunteering at a soup kitchen. Well, it was a bit more than that really, but that's what it started off as; was basically a day centre for homeless and vulnerably housed people. Far more rewarding and worthwhile than what I do now to be honest, and vv interesting too; a lot of them might have been drugged up but their stories and views were truly enlightening. It's something I'd recommend.
