Thanks MrFun, but Dolores and I don't want to make a big deal out of it. Though we have in the past here it kinda just snowballed. Actually the Poly House we blame on Ted for sending the first $200.
Anyway, Dolores and I just do what we do and if someone asks, like Ted just did, then we take it further if they want. There's alot of need and no safety net. Kids kids and more kids...

Some days ago rather than throw them in the bin I put some old clothes of mine into a bin.... but an old clothes collection bin rather than the waste bin. that relieved pressure off my social conscious for... years!Comment

I do charity work, though I'm not sure whether it would count as community involvement, if you mean the local community. I work for AIESEC, a student organisation that aims to build cultural understanding by sending young graduates on international work placements. At the moment I'm organising a project to send 10-15 people to Romania to get high school students involved in civic education, teaching them about citizenship, debating and encouraging them to become politically aware, given that it doesn't have the best voting record and is joining the EU in 2007.
I'm also a peer supporter (student counsellor), though that doesn't entail too much.Smile
