So then why are televised Ku Klux Klan rallies protected, but god for forbid if some unexpected profanity on television occurs -- then it's jail time, mister.Originally posted by BlackCat
You forget one thing, this is on TV, so of course you aren't protected by the 1st amendment.

I wasn't pointing out that this appearance by the queen of c*nts was similar to a Ku Klux Klan rally.Originally posted by Mrs. Tuberski
The kkk mr fun?? This assembly hardly resembles anything the kkk meetings would bring about... The woman i see is not popular however if ur going and disagree with her words there is a way of stating that this student didnt do.
I was pointing out that our priorities are pretty f*cked up if a student can get arrested for profanity, while we protect hate speech under the first amendment.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Now, now, be nice. The fact that she hasn't taken to vehemently defending Ann Coulter shows that Mrs. T has a reasonable head on her shoulders. Besides, she gave us an excuse to mock Coulter for the neurotic psychopath in desperate need of a straight-jacket she is.

disorderly conduct is a bull**** charge in of itself, but do you think it's a good thing police can arrest you for nothing?Originally posted by Tuberski
Did any of you even read the article? He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
You can be arrested for anything a policeman decides to arrest you for.
Whether they were right in arresting him is entirely different.
I don't feel sorry for the jackass, but I imagine charges will be dropped. Which I am also fine with.
If you don't like Ann Coulter, don't go to her speech.
ACK!

And that is how Mrs. Tuberski got sucked up into 'poly's endless and irresoluble political debates . . . . . . . . .Originally posted by Mrs. Tuberski
While this guy shouldnt have been arrested this way he was out of line. Such behavior i doubt will be tolerated anywhere it has nothing to do with the fact this jackass was speaking in texas. Im almost sure this would hve happened in any other state as well. While i dont agree with this woman as she spouts utter crap, the young man thrown to the floor should have had a bit more class and asked a decent question.

Can't explain it, and don't understand it.- it's a special US trait. Actually some common danish children radio programs could never be sent in US - the bleep rate would be too high (oh, and it's the children that would be bleeped out).Originally posted by MrFun

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Ann Coulter routinely says stuff like that. People like Ned love her for it and the rest of us hate her for it.Originally posted by Mrs. Tuberski

And this is why christian right is dangerous. They claim all the time how everyone is picking on them so they need to be vigilant in a way.
But we all know, words get thrown back and forth, they judging the rest of us people, and we getting angry about it and shouting back.
But the fact is.... it's them who will destroy us all if they have the chance to. They wouldn't blink or think twice to murder tens of thousands. Muslims, gays, you name it. The pussies of them will not accept it, by silently tolerate it. They will have some nightmares over it, say few prayers, but they will never ever leave that crowd. They just hope that it would never happen again, and since the core is the same, they must stay together.
It's that part of the group of people who have started more wars, on whose values wars have been started, what the rest of us like to call useless wars, non-defensive wars etc. It is those people who put us against muslims, and from muslim side put against us. At the end of the day, we disagree, but we almost must fight because it's not up to us anymore, a fight is a fight but let's not forget who salivated over it the most, who believes it's doing God's work.
Some might claim, well, they would never accept any kind of behaviour like th at, but the fact is, only few of them will stand up and fight back the tyranny and the absolute power of religious right.
My point is, no matter who shouts what, religious right is DANGEROUS to all of us, where as kids who shout something stupid are not dangerous. And it's the kid who we go after. Go figure. In da butt.
