What's the motivation behind it? Are those people with more bathrooms than bedrooms really willing to fork out thousands of pounds more simply because you're terrified that someone might smell your pooh?

nah it is that they cant get up 10 minutes earlier to be in the bathroom before some one else is so that they dont have to scream and bang at the door and still come to late at work

So it is not just an American phenomenon . This design ( one bathroom per bedroom/generation/couple , with one added for good measure or other unique reasons ) is standard for almost all the Indian houses I've seen .

You mean the average person in India has domestic staff??

And ignorant me thought many lived in farming villages....

Oh, and Middle Class people in Latin America also have large houses like the "typical Indian" house.

I grew up in a 3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom house.

One of my uncles whose's a doctor has 4 houses (beach, Hills, 1 City apartment, I main house).His main house has at least 6 Bedrooms and as many bathrooms.This is NOT typical whatsoever, thought most modern apartments in Panama have 2 full bathrooms.

I live in huge house as well. It's two story, 9 room, 3 bathrooms and 2 bedroom house. We don't need AC, since it's very natural, the air flow. We wanted it to be this way, sure it costed us more than installing new AC but we were after the luxury.

I like my bathrooms so this is my personal bathroom, or as I like to call it, the master bathroom. I'm the only one allowed in it, but my lovers are allowed to join from my lead if we want to have sex in there. I have thought about installing 60" plasma tv's into every corner, so I can see hockey games even if I was bathing or just in the bathroom for fun.

Here is the guest toilet, as you can see one of my happy friends enjoying. This might seem a little weird solution to have many seats next to each other, but it is very practical and fun. My guests love it. Also stone is good material, if someone makes a mess, my servants can just hose the general area and it's clean again.

Kuci, I have my own apartment and I make $6.50 an hour. Soon I will also be attending school part time. For some reason I think I will gain much more satisfaction from that than you will ever get from your $500,000 a year allowance.

You should really try moving out on your own, its very rewarding.
