Oerdin, your partisanship is so overblown and biased as to be beyond the pale. The rule changes were not intended to block an investigation into Delay at all, and you know it. But it is true that the Dems wanted new rules so that they could continue to roast Delay until the elections next year. They don't intend to resolve anything soon

Deserve? The Dems have long had a plan to politicize everything. Truth does not matter. It is the seriousness of the charge that matters so long as it is a Democrat charge and not a Republican charge."Everything for the State, nothing against the State, nothing outside the State" - Benito Mussolini

The Republicans in the Ethics Committee were hand picked by DeLay. They're not going to do very much. Luckily, Ronnie Earle's around to bring bugboy to justice (even if the Craddick et al. are threatening to deny him funding to force him to drop the case).
As for the folks thinking that the ethics violations aren't so minor, this is a man who has been illegally using several hundred thousand dollars in corporate contributions for campaign expenses, and has been illegally laundering another couple hundred thousand in corporate contributions through the RNC to funnell to his lackies' campaigns. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. This is not something every Congressman does, but takes a very unique kind of corruption."Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way. "

BTW, the effort to save Terri was decidedly bi-partisan. But he effort to smear Delay is entirely one-sided, as witnessed by your post.http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer.php?path=John+Williams+The+Imperial+M arch+from+The+Empire+Strikes+Back.ogg&wiki=en

Idiot.
Ad hominem attack.
I'm Asian, btw. So my learning Latin to throw that back at you, that's education.
The judges who did this, from the lowest to the Supremes, were all Republicans. The judges who wanted to save Terri were all Democrats.
BTW, the effort to save Terri was decidedly bi-partisan.
Facts.
But he effort to smear Delay is entirely one-sided, as witnessed by your post.
Where in that post did I mention DeLay?
Clearly, Ned, you've fallen victim to the Sarchasm. I understand, since my deadpan and inscrutable delivery can fool many a people, such as the whole Dear Leader thread.
Might as well ask: can you tell when I'm squinting at you?

I seem to remember someone on the Republican side mentioning this as one of their talking points...
Republicans are beyond reproach!
At least you didn't critique me on this.B♭3

Last September, the Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control tightened its prohibitions against U.S. citizens importing or consuming Cuban cigars. Even Americans licensed to bring back up to $100 worth of Cuban goods are no longer allowed to include tobacco products in what they carry. The regulation also noted that Americans are barred not only from purchasing Cuban goods in foreign countries, but also from consuming them in those countries.
