    • I don't have to tell myself that, numbnuts. Go find the archived threads.

All I had to do was use some common sense and some general knowledge of what producing CNB weapons entails. That, coupled with an impression of the level of efficacy of trade barriers wrt necessary technology and Iraq's level of technological self-sufficiency was enough to convince me that Bush, the CIA, Colin Powell and anybody else who claimed otherwise was full of ****.

Nice try. Your personal views on the war are not in question. I do not presume to remember what you said back then. The comment was in regards to opposition in general.

Care to ask some of our resident military experts about the efficacy of said armored divisions?

Hint: It was 30-year-old technology that was smashed away in a heartbeat.

                          Man, who writes your material?

Interestingly enough, even Iraq would be able to make spare parts for its old Soviet model tanks. Who knows, maybe the USSR even sold to Iraq the license to build spare parts.

Why should any state have backed a nation-building war of choice?

People like you (I use the term losely) have never come up with an answer to that simple question.

                            • KrazyHorse, you were only right in those old threads because you were completely wrong. Had you been right in a correct manner you would have been wrong like the rest of us. We were right to be wrong you see, and the evidence supports this. Also, all the right people were also wrong, so on our side we have some really interesting and knowledgeable people.

Next time, try to be more up on the facts so you can be right to be wrong like the rest of us...like the BEST of us.

Now, let us hear no more of this.

                              Please.

Rebuilt, my ass. Putting a new engine into a T-72 is slightly diferent than running a breeder reactor or producing effective weaponised chemical and biological agents in large enough quantities to cause any significant damage.

So the comment was in regards to some shadowy opposition whose views you didn't even bother to understand the first time around?

                                Laughable.

These very boards were full of people saying that the existence of significant CNB capability was doubtful to say the least.

I believe this fallacy is called the strawman argument.
