    The ****ing Sopranos would be banned from decent television in Canada for less.

    The issue isn't the show. The show may be art, and it may have a place.

    The issue is the 'art' being on basic cable when my god-damned-****ing twelve year old nephews may stumble into it. You can bet your boots on that.

    That's why I said the broadcaster should be sanctioned, not the show.

        Did I say it was great? While in my opinion it is, I can respect the opinion of others who think it isn't. Does their opinion, however, mean that they should be able to censor it?

        I haven't **** on anybody...actually, it seems, you tried to **** on me by calling a flaming bag of **** "art", which it most certainly isn't, because it doesn't follow the principles of art. You can't take 2+2=5 and call it "Math" any more than you can take a flaming bag of **** and call it "Art".

        You should learn to argue without caps. It makes for a much more convincing argument.

          It's on cable. You don't have to purchase cable and it is not the public airwaves.

          Why should the cable company be responsible for controlling your twelve year old nephews? You don't like it? Don't get cable. You want cable, then monitor your nephews' TV habits.

          This is so ****ing Canadian. What is with you people? Every single Canadian parent seems to think that monitoring their children is everyone else's responsibility.

          I've news... they're your kids... take some ****ing responsibility.

                    Reruns of "Dick van ****"? Local news, where you can hear about the latest local murders?

                    I was 12 once. I was told what I could and couldn't watch, and my parents (and grandmother) enforced that. Sure, I caught the occasional risque program, but has that really ****ed me up?

                    When you're 12, you watch what your parents let you watch. If they let you watch anything, you watch anything.

                    Its the parents/guardians job to police the TV at that point. I fully intend to police what my children watch just like I would expect any other parent/guardian to

                      A guy was a porn producer and sometime actor. He is raising his son solo and with his mom's help.

                      He is having big problems relationship wise. Mom is trying to set him up with likely ladies.

                            since when does art have principles? and then i dont mean moral principles but like you said it yourself everything can be art if seen in context...if someone put a bag of **** on fire you might think it is stupid but it CAN have meaning for that person...so if you think angles in america shouldnt be censored people that think flaming **** is art should be censored...but that doesnt work does it? some thing you can show to an broad auditions (TV) and somethings cant...and again i havent seen 'angels in america' so i cant judge but when i read the OP i cant see this to be art in any context...it might send a message but that doesnt mean it is art IMO
