We have this argument every year.

First, you have to address why the starting salaries vary so significantly.

Then, you have to reason why the Liberal Arts would have substantially more salary later in life than those who started high.

    Or provide a link...-

Basically, few people are interested in doing those jobs, there is a high demand, and thus high salaries. Be glad that so few people find such menial and tedious jobs interesting. Also be glad cheap Asian competitors are kep out.

The sad truth is that no talent hacks pop singers make in 1 year what most people will make in 10 years if not more. If you really want money, get yourself a talent coach.

Accounting might not be as exciting as porno star, but it's not that bad. I don't care about boring that much anyway. I mostly care about little punks ****ing with me.

I find it odd that you're rebutting a claim I never made.

College grads don;t work Sanitation and people doing planting have science or technical degrees (horticulture and so forth).

And Sanitation is a rather profitable job, if you get it. Strong unions, lost of free time, good benefits.

No, the arts degree people work as bar tenders and have lots of meaningless sex, while you make code.

The correlation isn't wealth = intelligence in all cases, just in cases like real jobs.

I wasn't aware Pamela was on a salary.

I knew arts degree members who worked at a grocery store bakery with me while I was in high school.

One guy was all pleased he had a Psychology degree and was making $16/hr after 15 years (the max under the union deal) baking bread in a hot, overcrowded bakery.

I made more than that by the time I was 18, and considerably more than that when I was 20.

As for benefits, I'm sure the city workers get nice benefits, but I'm pretty certain, say, IBM employees get more.
