Fortunately the ozone hole has only ever reached as far as Melbourne (afaik)... but yes... the sun down here has a tendency to age you quite rapidly.
Che, if I was going to suggest a place for you to move it would be north eastern NSW. That's where I live when I'm not at uni in Brisbane and I must say its a beautiful place.

And don't worry about racism... I don't think there'd be any more here than in the USA... some people have funny views on illegal immigration and a fear of Indonesian invasion... but these ideas are challenged and are declining. No KKK in Australia either (or at least isn't big enough to be a concern to anyone).
