Wait for the upcoming movie, then repeatedly watch it (and pay, don't just download it), and then hopefully more will be made.

It's the only TV show that I make every possible effort to watch...and it will be the first show that I will get when it comes out on DVD.

(ok, I do watch Desperate Housewives too)

BG is well done, and uses the same special effects house, iirc, as Firefly did (also a good show).

My favorite topic! My favorite show! This is how sci-fi tv should have been done all along. Keeping in line with the masters Clarke, Asimov, Heinlein, and etc.

BSG is the best frackin' scifi TV show ever! (Though Firefly is indeed quite good as well.)

i liked the episode I watched

I don't watch much TV now... (except XPlay, but that is because my freind saves it on his harddrive)

I liked Firefly, downloaded them all when the show was canceled

That's true. In fact, in the BSG miniseries, there's a brief shot on Caprica where you can see Serenity taking off. They don't use as many special effects on BSG as they did on Firefly though, which I've read is probably a good reason that BSG is surviving on TV. Supposedly, Firefly had the scope of a movie, crammed onto the small screen (incidentally, the Firefly actors have signed on for 3 movies, although there's no assurance that the last two will be made).

The SciFi channel has taken a unique approach to supporting BSG. If you go to the official website, you can download not just the first episode in its entirety, but ship details (to please the nerds), deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes videos, and even episode commentaries for the last five episodes. They've really embraced the Internet fanbase.

If anyone is interested here is the board where lots of people gather to discuss BSG. It's the one set up by Sci Fi channel and generally its pretty good. There seems to be a hatred of the new series by most of the classic BSG fans with the exception of a few. They seem to still be holding out for a movie or tv movie with the original cast still alive. Even though Hatch (played apollo in the original) has a reacurring role in the new series. Check it out and post your ideas. Be careful though. There are some serious spoliers in some of the threads.

There was the problem that UK posters were discussing what happened and they were a couple of months ahead of the American posters. Usually most are kind enough to post SPOILER in the thread title. The 2nd season will air first in the US this time but will be broken up into two installments I believe.

They were originally going to have Dirk Benedict (Starbuck in the original series) play God in the new series. I don't understand how those old fans can be so opposed to the new series, just because it's not the old one. The idea is completely ridiculous.

Do ya think the concept of a pregnant Cylon a lil hoki?

Being in the medical field I see a lot of hoki things in movies and tv.
I am having a hard time grasping the idea of a hybrid human/cylon have being born.

                            Whatch think?

I think that the humanoid Cylons are largely organic, so maybe their biology is compatable with humans.

Yeah, I'm thinking only the brain these Mark II (Or Mark III?) Cylons is mechanic, the rest is, for all intents and purposes, human... Though, perhaps they are somehow augmented... Given their somewhat superior reflexes and strength.

Are these Mark III's btw? In the Pilot, there are some documents on the table in the meeting area, showing a original series Cylon... Mark I. Then there are those new ones, Docfeelgood has one as avatar, currently... Mark II, and the human-like cylons... Mark III?
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"
