Why? Threads "targetting" an individual poster are forbidden, IIRC. And while Japher's intent is good and respectful, I would think the request of the person "targetted" is enough to change it.

Well, I'm sure my mom knows it, i've just never asked.

Why? Threads "targetting" an individual poster are forbidden, IIRC. And while Japher's intent is good and respectful, I would think the request of the person "targetted" is enough to change it.

DRose's request to change it was also made with good intent, should it also be ignored?

I thinking I should go home and help my mom with the arrangements. However, maybe that's because I don't want to be here at work. My Aunt comes in, and she has done crap since my grandma got sick. Even my cousins have taken time off and flown out to help. My Aunt has been retired for 6 months and didn't even come out to help or to see her mother... I had very little respect for her, and now I have even less.

I'm taking Friday off.

"Targeted" threads of this nature are pretty benign; I don't see the problem. However, the appearance of my name and situation in a thread about someone else's dead grandmother, regardless of intent, just made me feel like the rain on their funeral procession.

Thanks for yours (all of you)... I wasn't targetting you I was sympathizing with you. Since, now I can... Even though I lost my other gma over a decade ago, it just ain't the same. I actually had a really good realtionship with this one since she lived in town for the past 15 years. The other grandma kind of hated me.
