This would have been more interesting had the guy been killed by "LIGHTNING BOLT!!! LIGHTNING BOLT!!! LIGHTNING BOLT!!!"

Not as extreme as the case of the Korean gamers who died while gaming for consecutive days without food, sleep, or using the bathroom.

How the f*ck does that even happen? Were they chained to their computers? Guns pointed at their heads? Motion-sensitive bombs attached to their mouses?

What, did their copies come with automated blow-up dolls that jollied their rogers everytime they passed a level?

I never played actually. It can't be that addictive, can it?

I got my copy of vanilla Starcraft in late January...of this year. Got bored with it a week later.

There have been cases in which people committed suicide over Dragons & Dungeons - this isn't that different.

Starcraft is an overrated POS game. It was a fad to say it was super-duper-great.

I don't understand the attraction of Starcraft as well.

There haven't been any document links of people doing this. One hysterical mother accused D&D of being the cause of her son shooting himself in the head back in 1982, but there is no reason to believe that was the cause, as the kid was totally ****ed up for other reasons (including being an ardent admirer of Hitler). Her lawsuit against the game was tossed out of court and an investigation by the Consumer Product Safety Commission found no link between the suicide and D&D.

It's pretty silly to think that a game is going to lead people to violent behavior they otherwise wouldn't engage in. The nutball in this thread's case probably would have killed someone over something eventually. He is obviously a disturbed individual, and not because of any games he plays.
