      marijuana is not physically addictive...

it's only addictive in the sense that good experiences are worth repeating
To us, it is the BEAST.

actually I was talking about alcohol, not marijuana.

nothing majorly wrong with marijuana. It just smells bad. And it could cause paranoia.

I second Boris, the order thing is nonsense. It probably was started by the different quantities of alcohol in beer vs. wine. Real "rules:"

*Know the proof and keep track of how many you've had.
*Give one drink time to take effect before slamming down two more.
*If your stomach says no more and your friends tell you to quit being a wuss, listen to the stomach. If one of your friends still presses you, be sure to vomit on him first.
*Don't drink on an empty stomach, and get down plenty of water before you go to sleep.
*Repeat to yourself: "I am drunk. Therefore, any idea I have is probably stupid. Therefore, I should not act on ideas which affect others without their permission, so that I can only embarrass or hurt myself and will probably not get beaten up."
*For the love of [insert belief system or ideal here] don't touch your car keys.

I think those are all the major ones.

While it's not addictive, the stuff is actually worse to smoke, puff for puff, than tobacco. Swarming with carcinogens. That much at least is pretty well proven.

then why don't pot smokers die of lung cancer?

It doesn't seem like it should, but I think it does.

I once drank Ale, wine, a tequila shot, and then wheat beer. I really didn't drink that many drinks (no more than 6), but I vomited.

Same experience here, but with different drinks. I once had 3 beers (half liter) which normally wouldn't be much of a problem. But I had a shot of vodka in between and that totally killed me off in the end.
Other time I drank wine and beer together and woke up at 5 o'clock thinking it was 2, vomitting on the toilet and generally experiencing the helicopter.

If I keep an order it's much less of a problem and I normally don't vomit.

Because it's not physically addictive and therefore they don't smoke as frequently. But they still have a much higher incidence of cancers than nonsmokers, just check the link. And the amount of nasty crap in there is enough to give anyone pause, whether it'll definitely give you cancer or not. It's not a completely harmless, smokable form of alcohol or anything.

As for drink order, you refrained from mentioning time frame and intervals between drinks. Also how much you'd had to eat lately, etc. And look up "confirmation bias." It happened once and supported your theory, so you assumed it was true without investigating, say, times you mixed drinks and didn't get sick. On my twenty-first I had all kinds of liquor. Tequila, cordials, grand marnier, vodka, gin, you name it, in haphazard order. Nothing happened to me; I was a little queasy, but considering I had fourteen drinks that night, am on SSRIs, weigh about 140 and hadn't had much to eat, that's to be expected.

Come to think of it, shouldn't cocktails instantly make you sick, by that logic?

                          Nope, doesn't matter at all.

In fact the English saying is the reverse from the dutch( wine after beer blahblah).
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

MYTH: Switching between beer, wine, and liquor will make you drunker.

FACT: Mixing types of drinks may make you sicker by upseting your stomach, but not more intoxicated. Alcohol is alcohol.
