Alcohol is Good for Nothing but Creating Conflict and Suffering
Alcohol is Good for Nothing but Creating Conflict and Suffering
I just got home so I dont feel like going into detail right now. All I shall say is that I made a damn fine choice by abstaining my entire life thus far.
I used alcohol last night to create a wonderful risotto, and then we drank the better part of the bottle of wine, a pinot grigio. It was smooth and crisp with a hint of apple and pear.
The night before, I used some cream sherry to make a French country stew. It was also wonderful.
I had a beer the other night with my St. Patrick's Day dinner. It was very tastey and compimented the corned beef and cabage quite nicely.
Alcohol is very much good for something. Just because some people are addicted to it or otherwise abuse it doesn't mean it isn't useful to those of us who aren't.

Like many things, alcohol can be abused, and some people should never touch the stuff... but used in moderation, it is actually healthy for you... and a lot of fun

Alcohol
I was in the same situation that you won't go into for many, many years and you know what, nothing to do with the alcohol but with the ***hole drinking it. I'm a happy drunk, the worst I get is a bit melancholic.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus
Yeah, that's what I call people having no idea what I'm saying too...cryptic.

Alcohol
I have tasted lots of different alcoholic drinks/shots/whatever, but so far I've only found 1 I really like (it's a shot, not sure what the english name is)... too bad I can't others to drink it because according to them you can't have many of them (compared to other shots) before you're drunk... so far I haven't gotten drunk by it though, so I can't tell if it's true or not
Ok, I've only been drunk once (only slightly drunk) and I wasn't having a good time, so I see no reason to get drunk again

There are some people who simply should not drink. In fact, there are lots of people who should not drink. But there are also plenty of us who drink till we laugh at everything and dance, then quit drinking, chug down lots of water, and wake up fine the next morning. Don't associate drinking entirely with the morons who think it's fun to keep chugging till you puke up all the liquor you just bought. Kind of like you shouldn't associate pet ownership entirely with drug dealers who buy pit bulls, train them to kill, and feed them gunpowder to make them mean. There's a jackass in every group, and some groups have more than one.

As somebody who also doesn't drink, abstaining is a decision you'll never regret.
Berserkers, and those who have a family history of berserking, should not get drunk. I have never been drunk. I still will drink wine or beer with a meal, and not having wine or beer to cook with :shudder:
