I'm also withdrawing from all political debates and otherwise for the time being. I'm in too much pain. I'm going to take a bit of a break from here for a while just to get my senses all back in order. I just had a strong bond with my dog, and she even saved my life once.

Look on the bright side; you can now make a few bucks at the local Korean restaurant.

(Ok, distasteful joke. Sorry to hear a bout Gian.)

honestly, I don't think you should post that in here. And if you were to say to me in real life, I would get really angry. No jokes right now.

That dog bite someone and chased them off who was trying to attack me with a knife in a mugging.

I've been crying ever since I found out this morning.

Even my dad who has a very difficult time showing his emotions cried.

She was like part of the family.

Sorry to hear that Giancarlo. I know what it's like to lose a long-time pet.

Nothing quite as painful as losing a pet; they can't tell you where it hurts. My mind still reels when I think about my Samantha's final night, the helplessness I felt. All I could do for her was stroke her fur and try to syringe water into her mouth to kept her hydrated. 12 years, literally half my life she'd been part of the family.

                    Very sorry

It has hit me so hard... And even if I wasn't able to be there I was happy I was able to spend my dog's last winter with her.

My cat died two years ago. It turned out she had cancer. I only noticed it when she stopped fooling around and just stopped eating and drinking. By then it was too late. If only pets could talk...

I know how you feel right now Gian and I feel sorry for you.

The same thing was apparent with my dog, heuij.

My parents didn't notice anything until a week before and it was far too late by then.

I just have been talking with friends and family most of the day on the phone trying to comfort me.... my dad actually broke down because it effected him so deeply.
