Okay so I'm watching this program on the history channel (I'm addicted to this channel). And of course this program is on the autobahn.
Is it true that a drivers license in Germany costs that much? this program kind of makes me want to go to germany to drive on the autobahn. but it'd probably be cheaper to rent out a racetrack and drive fast on that . I don't think I could ever get comfortable passing people at that speed. Because in the U.S., drivers are stupid, and will pull in front of you when you are travelling 80 mph, and they are going 50 mph. U.S. drivers suck.
who has driven on this thing? I can't see being able to drive that fast? Don't you have traffic. If you have ever seen the traffic on I-95 or I-15 between LA and Las Vegas, you can see why we can't have such a thing in the U.S.
As an added bonus to this thread, feel free to post the fastest you have ever driven (not rode in- because I don't want to hear crap about high speed trains). I'm talking about driving the car yourselves. It doesn't have to be on the autobahn, it can be any road. 100 mph is my highest speed. And this was limited by a speed limiting governor. I couldn't go faster if I tried. If I did the conversion correctly that is 160.9 KM/hr
I would make this a poll, but I'm lazy and don't want to figure out the KPH conversions.
