I just noticed, for question #3, I didn't leave an option for people who haven't graduated from high school. If you fill in the survey, and you aren't graduated from high school, just leave that question unanswered. (It's an optional question that you don't have to answer anyway.)

Agathon: Just out of curiosity, what was your first home computer? I remember Commodores were pretty popular back then.

                Done.
Note I mentioned lack of supply too. And it's still a problem today. Look for some old games (like Fantasy General). You might get a used copy from someone if you send money over the web to someone on another continent. Or you can download it illegally. Will it hurt the developpers or publishers? Well, both vanished...
And CD protection is what prevents me from running my legal version of MoM on my current computer (the MoM computer died of old age a few years ago). So CD protection actually increases piracy form my point of view.
You should check Brad Wardell's opinions on the subject. He's talked about it very often (google Brad Wardell piracy and behold or check this one among others: http://draginol.joeuser.com/index.asp?aid=21895 ).

                  Done .

Lack of supply is the biggest reason here . You cannot get legit software anywhere in a place like Indore in India .

                        Downloading illegal music / movies?
Pfft. Downloading "illegal" music and movies is legal here.

And what's up with assuming there aren't people who haven't graduated high school? Silly survey.

Some of the "illegal activities" are not. Making backups of programs you own, for example, is explicitly allowed by the US copyright law.
