    SUVs

Fashionably they are so year 2000

Enviornmentally they are spewing out too much pollution

Practically they aren't any safer, as they have a nice tendency to roll over.

Plus they are ANNOYING as hell.

Do you not comprehend what it means to be an aggressive driver?

Of course I'm not very efficient in my driving style.

Good job on you contradicting yourself.

I wasn't bragging about the fuel economy, nor was I trying to be impressive. I was pointing out that the fuel economy of the hybrid vehicles he mentioned weren't impressive.

You suck because you miss an obvious point, and Imran sucks for licking your ass and trying to take a swipe at me.

The energy created by the brakes being applied is used to recharge the battery.

I'm curious: Who here besides myself actually needs to drive an SUV due to work requirements, distance-of-home from paved roads, or weather conditions?
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

Well DanS obviously, after all he wouldn't be so dumb as to pay a fortune for a car that has capabilities he'll never use.

            Would he?

My parents own an Expedition, and I own an Escape.

Neither of us needs one. My parent's reasoning for mostly because they needed the seating capabilities and cargo space offered, although they would have been better suited getting a passenger van (which they had previously).

I really should have something smaller and more efficient, but the SUV in my Escape does come in handy every once in a while.

I drove a hybrid Prius. Loved it. Even at the highest speeds (70+), it still got more than 40mpg. At 55mph, I was getting between 60 and 70 mpg.

We aren't obsessed with it. Therefore the SUVs, etc. However, if new technology will pay for itself without degrading performance, then we'll always try it. Even better if there are other benefits.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

                          You know what degrades performance?

All that needless mass on SUVs.

True, but I love the dash and panel instruments. Inside it's quite wonderful.
