I've no idea why you'd assume that.

Aggressive means I when the light turns green at the stop light, I don't pick my nose, take the car out of park, and slowly accelerate from 0-60 over 45 seconds.

It means I usually drive above the speed limit.

It means I will pass someone who is going slower than me.

It doesn't mean I cut people off, tailgate, and honk my horn at everyone.

I give my engine a workout, but I don't do it stupidly.

That's an interesting backtrack, but NO ONE defines an aggresive driver in those terms. 50% of drivers aren't aggresive, sorry.

Saying "no one defines an aggressive driver" in those terms clearly isn't true, when someone here is defining a driver in those terms.

I define the tailgatters as irresponsible, reckless drivers; not aggressive. They happen to be aggressive, but they're reckless about it.

It may surprise you to know this, but not everyone has the time or money to go to court.

Are you kidding? Passive drivers around here are the worst.

Honestly, every time I see a slow moving civic I avoid it like the plague. They're the ones who get into most accidents.

They cut people off without signalling, they slow the hell down and stop when they're to merge, and they obstruct the flow of traffic.
nah not here. the only problem i have with america is that people dont know how the lane system works: everyone thinks they own the road, put their car in the left lane, and do 65 on the dot. its less of a problem on most socal roads (since speed is elevated compared to norcal) but on the 5, its really really annoying. all the trucks are in the right lane, so all the cars think they have to be in the left lane, and since theres only two lanes, no one can pass.
it would be alright if they pulled over, but no one looks in their rearview mirror/ thinks about it.

on a two lane highway, the left lane is for passing, thats it.

everyone tailgates in socal and tries to squeez into incredibly small spaces, so if you dont tailgate, they will continuously cut in front of you and make you slow down, especially on i-5.

but i dont tailgate, its not worth it.

They're usually good here. Trucks are forbidden from using the far left lane on 400-series highways, and when you flash people with your highbeams when they're slow in the left-lane they usually get over.

                          • SUVs suck. I hate them passionately. Bad mileage, decreased safety, and they offer the illusion of being better in bad weather without actually materially adding any capability once they are moving other than higher clearance. A scourge upon the roads.

Replace SoCal with LA and you have a point. The rest of us don't drive like LA.

Drivers who prefer to go from 0-60 in under 15 seconds do not inherently suck, they just have less patience.

I'm an excellent driver, and I drive a lot, in a lot of dangerous conditions, and I've never been in an accident.

Hell, Sunday I drove all the way from Waterloo to Toronto during a heavy snowstorm. It took me 3 hours, but I did it.

It's all about knowing how to drive. I'm not the idiots who will weave through traffic, I'll pick the far left lane on the 401/407 and just pass most people.

That doesn't cause more accidents, unless you're not paying attention or generally a bad driver (see: rearending a porsche).

There's just no real excuse for it. Hell, you can't even really blame it on the weather in the UK.

When the roads are literally sheets of black ice, you may still have a case...but even then, you ought to know better and compensate.
A blind hill in torrential floods? But of course you casually ignored that fact...and who knows, your accident could be around the corner if you drive like you say...no one has been remotely harmed in mine apart from a bit of an indentation. So as Imran and I have said, stop being so damn arrogant. You seem to have some gross misunderstanding of the person I am.
