On a brighter note, they split up and didn't get the SUV, so things turned out OK in the end.

We have a hybrid... a 2004 Toyota Prius. The thing is awesome. It gets about 45 MPG on average, has a touch screen computer in the dash, a 6 disc changer, and it's as roomy as our Toyota Camry.
To us, it is the BEAST.

I am sorry, but it's fugly. I can't stand the thing. I would buy it if it looked like a regular car, or a sports car, but it reminds me of fiat multipla for some reason.

Actually, it's my sister's car. But since we are a family... I say WE...

Pretty good I'd say. The brakes take a little getting used to though. They feel different because the brakes charge the battery... or rather, power the electric motor that charges the battery. Or something. I wasn't paying attention when the dealer was explaining how it worked.

Is it auto, or "robotic" or something? I remember it had something weird about it... not bad, just weird.... about the way it operated...

The brakes charge the battery? Excuse me, but I think you're speaking out of your arse here!

No, Sava is right. I remember something like that as well, and it makes sense, too.

I don't know about that. I'll have to do some research on it. AFAIK, it's a regular automatic transmission.

We recently (last month) got my wife a brand new civic ex 4dr. Were seriously looking at the hybrid, but just couldn't justify the extra price/money saved over the long run. Even with the tax break (ever diminishing) it would take many many years for us to equalize the difference in gas payments.

My ass, I've been to LA during rushhour.

                              You're lucky to push 10, not 130.

It's supposed to be belitting the point of a hybrid SUV.

I'm sure your gutless ****box gets more miles per gallon, but I doubt you drive like I do.

From what I hear you're a rather crap driver.
