Yeah, Peter's nightmare of Jennifer Anniston and Lumbergh going at it while he sips his coffee..."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Grr, I mentioned the Office Space scene a long time ago! Now men ignore me too. Boo hoo.
Anyway, glad I could make you all feel good by comparison.

I am just wondering why she isn't more tactful.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

In my experience, I'm not saying all girls, but alot of them somehow think that exes and current boyfriends in the same room is somehow a good idea. This also applies to guys that like them.
Some guys do this too, they get a power trip out of it.
But that's never a good idea for anyone involved.
I've always tried to keep ex girlfriends and current ones completely apart from each other.

I experience somewhat of the same phenomenon, but only when I run into ex-girlfriends or hear about ex-boyfriends.
What is the solution I've discovered recently? I make sure I'm the one that's making her scream, so I won't be jealous in the futureIf you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I intend to go to the Birthday Ball anyway, it's not likely that I'll see them without deliberately trying and as long as I don't see his face I should be okay. I don't think she was tactless, I think she thought she was being tactful and didn't know better; perhaps she wasn't even thinking about the BF being there at the time. I did sort of ask her out of the blue, TBH.
I'm glad TEF, at least, can commiserate. I don't know that geographical proximity will let us have that drink though. As for Immortal Wombat, sorry, I didn't think it was so rare, or that it could be "contagious" from description. If you do get it and find a therapy that gets rid of it, do tell me.
I tried googling "office space syndrome," in quotes, on a wild guess, but it turns out people use the term to refer to the whole hellish-job thing. As if that's the really painful thing shown in that movie.

There are lots of truisms in that movie.
I swear, that was my first job out of college.
