  • Pssh, why Chicago? Their D wasn't anything exceptional. Its Washington that had the best defense in the NFC this year:

    • Cause Ned's been overrating the Chicago D all year.

      • Ah, alright. According to those stats, Chicago had just a touch better defense than Detroit, and the worst offense in the entire league.

        • Is rushing considered when doing QB ratings? If not, i can't understand why Vick has a better rating than Harrington.

Are you forgetting that Chicago was decimated by injuries? Urlacher, Tillman, and Mike Brown were all out for extended periods. Chicago's D is vastly underrated... and next year, with people healthy, they have enormous depth considering most of the backups and 2nd stringers got loads of playing time this year.

The offense though... well I got nothing for you there. Rex Grossman might be healthy next year, and we have a new off. coordinator. But I don't know how much of a difference that will be.
To us, it is the BEAST.

No. They are QB passing ratings.

Oh, and Urlacher is overrated. When Ted Washington was gone, he was exposed.

Then, based on the above stats, why is Vick higher than Harrington when Harrington had more yards, more yards per game, more touchdowns, less sacks, and comparable completion percentages?

Vick had a slightly better completion percentage, a better yards per attempt, and a better TD per attempt percentage. He did have a higher INT per attempt percentage though.

The full strength defense was impressive. Then Brown gets hurt. Down goes No. 54. The injuries pile up.

When they won games, it was the defense that won it for them.

It sure as hell wasn't the offense that won them any games

                        • So the postscript to the Super Bowl, at least for Philly fans, turns out to be that McNabb was physically sick for the last 5 minutes of the game and this contributed to his poor play and the clock mismanagement during that part of the game.. Teammates on the field during that time have reported that he was having dry heaves and appeared to have been in a trance leading to some speculation that he may have sustained a concussion at some point during the game. Mitchell had to call the play in the huddle at one point because McNabb was incoherent. Philly media is reporting all of this today.

Yeah, all 5 of them . We aren't talking about a playoff team here.

                              • Yep... media spin... It's easier to admit that he was "sick" then admit they just screwed up.
