I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Terrorists kidnapped the Secretary of Defense and they are going to execute him and they are broadcasting it on the Internet.

Jack Bauer sure hasn't lost his touch. He still knows how to "interrogate" a prisoner.
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"
                  G'Kar - from Babylon 5 episode "Z'ha'dum"

The last scene of the masked terrorists standing behind the blindfolded SecDef reminded me of the beheadings video we've seen in Iraq.

I'm glad I saw the 6 minute not-for-tv trailer from the day 3 dvd (though it was a rip-off with just the f-bomb) great for some additional backstory
