Is Spain the only country concerned for the wide spread in dutch soil of those very profitable "alien" terrains? Those slaves are only helping you to clean them in the same way they did in spanish soil a long time ago

I believe Yaroslav and I have discovered the problem of the diplomacy screens not working.

And you aren't going to believe how simple this is!

It lies in the NAME of the folder you use for the scenario.

I believe if you have numerals and or periods it screws up the way the game sees the scenario or something.

For instance the name of my colonies folder for Pbem was "Colonies 3.2"

I changed the name of the folder to "Colonies PBEM" and guess what the diplomatic dialog worked!

And that is the first time I got the dialog in years! (For this scenario)

This is also true in other scenarios. Yaro and I were trying to figure out why we could not get the Pillage dialog when we tried to pillage. Instead of the box that asks you what you want to pillage, it would just pillage the first thing usually the stackable hex's. Well this was a problem for 2194 Giga so we had to fix it!

And we stumbled upon it. My name for the latest version was "0.7 Giga".

When I changed it too Giga Ver Seven, guess what the pillaging dialog worked.

So Im guessing a numeral or a period in a scenario folder name screws it up somehow.

Anyway Chris could you please try and rename your folder to something with no numerals or periods and let me know if it works?

Your forgetting two things Waku, first, I was ALLOWED to keep mine, as compensation for being stuck in Republic, and second, you must give notice before attacking, and disrupting my terrain IS an attack.

I find your attitude horrendous, if it means that damn much to you, attack the colony.
I already consider you a treaty breaker.
"helping me...", yaeh, right.
If you intend to attack, declare war properly, as we all agreed.
I hope you feel proud attacking a player you outnumber 4 to one.

I just tried an old colonies save, renamed the folder (which was called 3.12) to "Colonies three" and it worked, so that was indeed the problem.
Such a simple solution, thanks.

Iknow I know, I couldnt believe how easy it was! And I believe it is the period not the numerals but I haven't checked. And Yaro and I spent hours on this, amazing!

John you are making me nervous please dont end a sentence with a period when it contains a folder name!
I had to turn off the computer and go thru withdrawl when I saw that!

CIVDIP 2.0 will be out official next week. I worked on cleaning up the english in the manual a bit for Yaroslav last night. So you need to threaten or beg the ADSL provider and them to get there buts out to your home!
In the future there will also be unit gifting, and that may come shortly.

BTW Manolo thanks for the password, I check on this one every once in a while!

I always considered you a good friend, but as of late, you seem increasingly hostile.

It was agreed, as compensation, for the FACT that all of you get THREE unit builds before your city draws a shield, I get ZERO.

As for being victim, what do you expect?
I can't produce free units at all, I didn't even have farmers for a long time.
