France publicly comdemns Brittain for her native agression, she shall pay for her bloodthirst!

Holland will of course remain strickly neutral, and we ask that Spain also remain so.

France and England are natural enemies, and should be allowed to settle their differences one and for all.

Fort Tinconderoga has been evacuated and is expected to fall to the advancing English armies.

This war is suspected to play out very different from the last one and the French armies are preparing for a defencive war, however the best form of defence is offense...

A Dutch Ambassador arived at the Court of Versailles yesterday describing in an extremely longwinded and loud mouted way that Holland is now at war with France due to their alliance with the English.
However the ambassador, comonly refered to as Herr A.I. is suspected to not have mandate to declare a war, would the dutch government care to clarify?

(ie sign a peace treaty with me again Chris )

Consider it signed, that "ambassador" has been sent to retirement, a rather "short" retirement at that!

All against all, no secret alliances or planned co-operations? At least we should get a scenario winner by 1800!

Still I do like the idea But then again I am allready the one fighting.

Again, war is not fair for Holland, stop trying to draw me in, as a republic, I have still been unable to build a credible force, why are you intent on war?

If I had had the Monarchy, and free units to expand, THEN I would welcome a fight, but I repeat:

HOLLAND is hamstrung in this scenario, I cannot be anything but a victim in war.

Anyhow, looks like Manolo is going to join the fun. Welcome, fellow warmonger! Are you against both France and England, then? I have just played my turn before I saw your post, so please don't attack me next move.....Ah, what the hell. Attack if you want to.

From my point of view, the fun has begun again! (Even if you wipe me out Henrik & Manolo, as I have gotten used to )

A cautious start to the English campaign:

1) The abandoned French Fort Tinconderoga has been occupied, and siege works begun outside Quebec.

2) Calais has been (re) taken, after a huge assault by the Royal Marines. For those interested in such things....

British losses: 4 Marine Regiments
French losses: 2 Grenadier regiments, 1 Horse Artillery Battery, 2 Men o' War, 1 Merchantman, 1 Privateer, 1 Trader and the City Walls.

Many British regiments were heavily battered, but many also became veteran...

A fort constructed to protect Calais, and filled with artillery...
