John, best check that save, it has nothing to do with the current game.

Renegade Dragoons destroyed in the Swamps outside Charleston, and the ships they came in sunk off the Harbour.
Recent disputes with our Dutch allies () have escalated nastily. A small English fort has been constructed overlooking the defences of Nieuw Amsterdam, in case this cannot be resolved diplomatically.
(Chris, I built this fort by mistake, and now cannot pillage it, as we are allied. I could re-play the turn, of course, but I don't like to do that. Besides, you may be up for a little war...??? It certainly seems the others aren't, and you must be quite powerful now. If you don't want a little skirmish or two, just say and we will ignore the fort or I will replay my turn...)Attached Files

It's just a little fort, who cares?
And why would I want a war?

Ok I know I will be getting democracy next turn, and I know by experience that I will b given the option to change govts when I do (despite the fact that govt changing isn't allowed).
What I am asking is, if I want, am I allowed to do so (I'm not really sure I want too but...)
Other than that, nothing to report, all is wellAttached FilesNo Fighting here, this is the war room!

Next time John, we should play a warlike scenario, with maybe Less units.
I tried to avoid war all game, Holland as a Republic is really hamstrung with that in war. (and everything else)Attached FilesI believe Saddam because his position is backed up by logic and reason...David Floyd
