      JayBee,

Does that mean you're out of this game for good, or only for a while? And are you still playing your other PBEMs (eg Seize the Crown!)?

          JB, Sorry to lose you.

Waku, when you've moved the Spanish, send the game to me (netdesign@zoom.co.uk)

English have moved. File sent to Chris and posted here.

          General Sir George Monk writes...

          London, 1664

Reports are coming in of many Huron attacks beaten off around Hudson's Bay. The native warriors have plundered many of our merchants before they had regained the safety of our Stockades. Some French woodsmen have been intercepted trying to liase with their allies and imprisoned. Some French Arquebusiers trying to assist in the attacks on Rupert's House have been easily routed!

A purportedly rich French Merchant convoy has been intercepted mid-Atlantic by our Privateers and destroyed. Unfortunately, little could be taken off the ships before they foundered. Nevertheless, a mighty blow has been struck against their trade...

It seems the colonists at James Town are prospering now they are planting crops native to the new land. The colony is beginning to expand quickly.

In Kingston the Governor has persuaded some of the local "Buccaneers" to take the King's Shilling and concentrate their depredations on the arrogant French.

At home, little news. Construction of the King's navy is well advanced and many of Cromwell's old veterans are reforming as Royal Dragoons.

Now - time for bed. Where is that damned wench!

Our navy has again emerged triuphant over the Dons, as another Galleon fleet has been destroyed.
This victory occuried near the english city of Exeter.
Admiral DeRuyter has cleared the English channel of spanish ships, and our fleet is now making sail for New Holland.

Our explorers continue to march into the unkown in Africa.

                    General Sir George Monk writes...

                    London, 1665

These New World "potatoes" are feeding the people most amply! The Irish are feeling particular benefit.

More French merchant shipping sunk just off Cork. The frog eaters must be suffering!

However, our colonies on Hudson's Bay are still under severe threat, and several soldiers have been killed in their defence.

All quiet on the Northern Front...

Worrying signs of the Plague have been reported here in London. I may have to retire to my country estates.

                    Anyway, time for more wine!

                    Geo. Monk

In the new Holland, Nieuw Amsterdam has built a port, to increase production.

The french economy is gearing up for a naval war, new ships are being constructed as we speak, England might have gotten the initial advantage but this will change soon.

                                Time to get tough

CPoulos and I agreed that we should have a "move before 48 hours, or lose your turn". Let's go with that.

Henrik was the last to post in Colonies 3.12, nearly five days ago, so I will take that saved game and play on. I will not do this before 18:30 GMT, so if you get a chance to play your turn, Waku, please do so before then - and post your turn in this thread.

                                OK everyone?
