BTW, an formal apology would be in order. We must warn you, that due to the strong anti-semetic feeling growing in the Japanese people, Israeli goods are just not selling in Japanese shops. I note however that our goods are eagerly bought by your citizens, perhaps out of sympathy. As a result many of your merchants are getting behind on their loan payments and Japanese customs dues. To Japan: We apologise for any misunderstanding that our statement caused. We were addressing our comments to the entire Japanese government, not to the Emperor himself. We quite understand that he is neither able or willing to come himself. You inspectors will be welcome in Israel, and as of now we are dismaring all of our warheads, to ensure that thisincident does not recur. The warheads can be rearmed only with the explicit approval of the President, so if such things recur in future without our officially rescinding this policy, you will know who to blame.

And, of course, we are quite willing to apologize for this incident. It is was most regrettable, and as we have said before, whoever was responsible in any way for this will be sent to Japan to be tried as you see fit.

Finally, regarding trade - We will give the merchants loans to help repay their debts to you, but we really don't see how we can persuade your people to keep buying Israeli goods if they don't want to. If you have a solution, by all means present it.

To Israel : This solution is acceptable. The debt transferral to the Israeli Government has helped our shopkeepers and economy. I believe you wanted to share your (untested) missile sheild tech with us as well? It would only seem appropriate. (secret) Feel free to be more aggressive in your negotiations with Germany. To Japan: We are glad that we could come to an acceptable solution. And, while we are not sure if we ever proposed sharing our missile shield with you, that would seem to be an excellent idea. It may, in fact, be a good idea to test it by firing missiles from Japan into the Arabian desert to see how well it works. (secret) While we are glad of your support against Germany, we don't want to have to fight them; we may be stronger, but a war would be far too costly. Besides, we are satisfied with our current arrangements with them; if they try to attack us again, we will know well in advance. (/secret)
