Hmmm, well it doesn't look like it was the Great Wall wonder or anything like that... Great Wall is the Kremlin, and is probably obsolete anyway.

Scott, what are you going to do about this? It seems to be the consensus that you should go back to your turn and make war with the Germans.

Has anyone emailed Scott to let him know what's up? This shouldn't hold the game up like this. A very minor detail indeed. Henrik is just being picky.

Like I said... just run your 5,000 panzers down on him.

actually i withdraw my objection because henrik you breaking the cease fire doesnt affect reputation because in a PBEM with all players you each set the attitude anyway so it has no effect
      Maps, Maps, MORE MAPS!!!!

See, this is where you're wrong.
You can try for yourself, start a new game, set two civs attitude to eachother as happy as possible (I belive this would be '0') then set one of the civs reputation to something really bad.
Change civ for the one with the bad rep, now both civs love eachother but they wont ever be able to enter an alliance with eachother, since the civ who loves the civ with the bad rep, still wont trust it.

Like I said... just run your 5,000 panzers down on him.
I will, if nobody thinks this is important enough to change (other than me who might want to sign alliances in the future... )...

          Okay okay,

I will email Scott F right now, no one has stated if they have or not yet. Henrik, it's really up to you man. Since it is against the rules, you do have the right to ask for a replay of the turn. I just figure that since the real diplomacy goes on in here, the ability for future alliances really isn't that big a deal. On the other hand, I dont want to hear this as a reason why you lost, if indeed you do lose the war as the Axis did historically. Probably best to have Scott F do his thing...

Henrik seems to have justified Der Führer's nickname as the carpet chewer.

And I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that it was against the rules. I've never played one of these before. At the same time, I don't see why Henrik doesn't go ahead and attack anyway. Firstly, no one outside of Stalin trusted Hitler after 1940, so his diplomatic rating should be bad anyway. Secondly, it's not like it hurts his war effort any. Heck, it actually helps it. Third, I'm going home for the weekend and likely won't be able to reply the turn until Monday.

My diplo rating sucks allready, which is why I care about this.
Besides, this isnt hitler, it is Heinrich, the fürer isnt in controll as we both know...

What if I feel like allying with someone, then it hurts my war effort.
Are you saying you signed a ceasefire becouse you wanted to help me?
Third, I'm going home for the weekend and likely won't be able to reply the turn until Monday.
Ok, I will play the turn annyway then.
And dont worry, if I lose I will hardly blame it on this

Hitler used to launch into massive tirades at his generals about how they were losing the war, how he was always right, and how everything was their fault. After Stalingrad, he ranted for hours about the fact that Paulus didn't kill himself and instead surrendered. The fact that he had lost a quarter of a million of his best men wasn't even mentioned. These tirades earned him the nickname "the carpet chewer" among the German command staff (presumably because he would fly into such incredible rages and rants that he would literally chew at the carpets or something).

Anyhow, I am now off to drive for two hours to get home, only to be pestered by my parents for endless hours about how things are going, how I am not eating enough, or how I should get a job.
