    The Allies React!!

    Allies Counter-strike!!

Today British troops packed up and are being readied for a suspected Counter-attack on NAZI occupied France and the Low Countries. Mothers, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters are all preparing for the dreaded future of war.

The Prime Minister Winston Churchill released this statement earlier today,

After the attacks on our friend, the Republic of France, by NAZI Germany, it is our god given right to protect our lands and our friends land, and therefore we will fight the NAZI's to the last breathe. It will be a long and hard struggle, but in the end, we will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail...

Air defenses have been upgraded and are being installed everywhere due to the increasingly threat of the powerful Luftwaffe. The airstrikes of the Luftwaffe on English cities are most likely to occur once the NAZI's have a firm grip on France.

Double Agents today returned photos of Paris during the NAZI's march into the 'City of Lights' in the picture a man is shown crying while watching a group of 20 French Resistors executed on the Champs-Elysees.

Current military information is that Allied planes strafed the beaches of the Netherlands destroying many divisions of Luftwaffe, Motorized Infantry and Panzers. Also the city of Narvik, Norway was captured in a British Counter-attack, minimal casualties were accumilated.

From the Halls of the Supreme Soviet...

Soviet International Statement Regarding the European Hostilities

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is dismayed at the ammout of warring by these capitalist nations. The greed that results from the desire for tremendous profit is leading this continent to ruins. If these nations desire to struggle for Europe with the blood of their own sons and daughters...then so be it.

As it stands, Stalin has declared that the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact remains in effect. Non violent means have secured the well being of our people, and he is not about to see fine Soviet blood spilled for the likes of the power-hungry bourgeosie.

We, the Soviet Union, as fellow human beings, wish to see an end to this bloodshed. However, the greed of the capitalist nations makes this seem unlikely. Hopefully the might of our allies will deliver a decisive blow quickly, so that the continent may be spared another Great War. We urge all combatants to lay down their arms and sue for peace in our times...

Stalin has ordered that Vasily Kleshnikov ready the mighty Red Army, in case any of the bourgeosie capitalists begin to turn their greedy eyes in the direction of the Motherland... whoever they may be. He would also like to remind all the leaders of Europe what happens when anyone has ever brought their armies upon our soil.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has not sufferend any casualties, as we are currently either at peace or allied with all nations of Europe. The Red Banner still flys proudly over every Soviet village in our great Union.

        -Vasily Kleshnikov
        Marshal of the Soviet Union

But the Fuhrer seems to be hiding in his bunker just a tad early....

The Fürer has done no such thing, he has been carefully planning strategies to beat his inferior enemies...

(ok, ok, I didnt notice it was my turn )

Ok I looked at the save:

No treaties shall be signed witout both parts agreeing to them!

France has cheated in signing a ceasfire with me whitout asking me about it first!

I demand that france break that treaty before I play my turn

Ok france is a new player so maybe he didnt know, in that case, just open the save again and break the treaty annyway (demanding tribute should do it), if no other way is possible I will "sneak attack"...

Now france that isnt the way we do things in pbems. the only way to sign treatys is if you agree with the player over email or on here. However germany you could have easily just set your attitude to hostile (or its equivalent) and then nothing france could do would save it. not that im having a go at you because france that wasnt a nice thing to do and you have to play your turn again. and i take it from henriks reaction that the fuhrer doesnt want any treaty with you at all

                            Uhhhhh...

                            Henrik,

Whats the big deal? Why not just go and break the treaty? You don't really have to consult the Fascist Grand Councel or anything. I mean you aren't worried about world opinion are you? (AI world opinion), and even if you are... you already got the Eiffel Tower
Seriously though, am I missing something? Does it really make that much difference? I see how it is against the PBEM way of doing things, and should be stated that that isn't how a game goes... but in all honesty, just run your 5,000 panzers down into him, not much a ceasefire will help him there now will it?

My attitude is set as angry as possible (enraged), but the AI will still ask for peace, on my first turn I was confronted with a messanger from the allies asking for a ceasfire

Does it really make that much difference?
                                It will have two effects:
                                • My reputation will go down, wich might not seem a big deal but it is, if I want to sign a treaty later on I need to both confer with a human player and then sign the treaty with an AI emisary, if my reputation is bad that wont work.
                                • I will get a 50% attack bonus when I first attack him, which isnt a bad thing but...
