To do something like that, I'd use the colour swapping feature of the Civ2 unit designer. Just swap greens for roughly corresponding shades of white, and Bob's your uncle.

I dont know, I am not comfortable at all with using the in-game editor. When I do gfx I zoom in to between 8x and 10x so I can see all the minute differences. The in game editor maybe doubles the unit size, but it just isn't close enough for me to see all the intricacies of the units... What do you use Case?

Case, or FMK, or anyone else...
If you have Paint Shop Pro, or I am assuming another painting program, all you have to do is edit the pallete. Change the color of the original unit in the pallete. So the darkest green can become a darkest white, and so on...

If you edit the units palette all Civ2 graphics will be affected, so that isn't really a good idea... Unless after editing the palette, you reload the standard palette, using "Nearest color matching". That way the standard palette will be used while the colours will still be switched.

My God...
That is so simple! I can't believe I didn't know about this before. Here I have been doing all of my color changes manually pixel by pixel. This will save me countless hours."I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one behind me." -- General George S. Patton
