@Arthedain: I'm already placing units on the board and I think any editing will have to be done during the playtesting phase. This sucker is already taking a lifetime and restructuring the map to be more realistic after I've already started thinking strategically would just be to much to contend with. I'll give you a buzz when I get to the pt phase and we can see what can be changed then.
@Mercator: Don't wait on me! Being the first to use it in a scenario would be great but I can't give you a clear date yet. Thanks anyways
Here's my concept for the "detailed mission" portion of the scenario. Basically, it's combat in close quarters. If anyone can guess what I'm planning when I say I need "grenade" units I'll name a character after you.
Wow, indoor combat! I take the walls are land, and the ground is sea to keep the ppo from walking through walls?

Obviously your infantry(naval units) have the carrier flag and can thus "carry" grenades(misile units) which can be thrown at enemies, reditributed among team members etc.
EXCELLENT IDEA!

I agree. It's like when Harlan had Frodo carrying the ring to Mount Doom in his LotR scenario

I won't be waiting on you... I meant it rather the other way around. There's a chance CivSwap's release is still going to take a long time to finish. But I'd be sure to work a bit harder if you would need it earlier.
Thanks guys! You're right on all fronts. I may bring the grenade down to a smaller level of attack though. Hmmmm, ok... Sergeant Smiley, Major Gerry Anderson, Captain Palaiologos, Lieutenant Arthedain. Might have to make Curt and Mercator Generals of some kind due to their seniority...
It's really amazing what you can do with the graphics. There is a limit though, my terrain, in order for the walls to be nice and uniform is a little bit piecemeal. I'll keep trying to hone it down to an art though. A note to others, this same sort of effect could probably be done through the use of allied units for the walls. You still wouldn't be able to walk through the units, same as the terrain. In fact, if the layout gets to complicated I may have to start placing unit "fixtures" and "spackle" units to fill in spots. Or just switch to units period.

Hmmm, ok, I was doing a small run through the regular game to test a few things out and it seems the barbarian cities have the ability to research. In fact, they acquired a few techs. I've never seen that before.
