Update:
History buffs will be pleased to know that I have just about finished the entire production slate for the airpower of the U.S. and Brits from 1944 to 1950. And I just don't mean the production slate for the scenario, I mean as in real life...
Let's see
Originals:
F-82 Twin Mustang, F-84 Thunderjet, A1 SkyRaider, B-36 Peacemaker, F-9 Panther, F-2 Banshee, P-38 Lightning, F-94 Starfire.
Old planes, New Paint Job/ Small Editing
F.8 Meteor, Canberra, F-80 Shooting Star, F-86 Sabre, B-29 Superfortress.
Since I am developing a scenario that uses a limited "Choose your adventure" gameplay choice I am confident I can incorporate the entire evolution of early jet aircraft.
When will this scenario be finished??? Before Fall, that's a good deadline.
The Me 262, Ju-87, Me-109, and Mig 15 have also received new paint jobs and a bit of editing so that they appear more true to life.
The Essex and Escort carrier class of ships has ben finished, along with two crusiers, one harboring a sonar/radar dome for the Americans and Brits, the other a generic all civ ship.
Curt has graciously taken it upon himself to finish up my city graphics, of which I am grateful. He has also designed the title screen for the scenario, which I have to say is AWE inspiring.
I also have some new tanks finished up, but I want those to be a surprise
Overall, I'd say the units are 60% done. I got a lot done this week. Here's hoping I can maintain the same productivity.

How about some indianajones-style missions:
* Steal that scroll out of this monastery in Tibet.
* Get the Xantopac sacrificial altar "heim ins Reich", Himmler wants to perform some "bonding rituals" with his SS croonies.
* Find the "Lost Oasis" where ...Ceteram Macedonicus
(got the 'Macedonicus' part as a title for playtesting Bernd's Imperium Romanum)

Curt had announced plans for his alternative WW2 outcome scenario months ago.
Along with his Dictator:Kaiser"Military training has three purposes: 1)To save ourselves from becoming subjects to others, 2)to win for our own city a possition of leadership, exercised for the benefit of others and 3)to exercise the rule of a master over those who deserve to be treated as slaves."-Aristotle, The Politics, Book VII
All those who want to die, follow me!
Last words of Emperor Constantine XII Palaiologos, before charging the Turkish hordes, on the 29th of May 1453AD.

Easy boys, Curt does his work and I do mine. We may collaborate on a few things but we never "take" ideas. Curt has his own approach to scenario making, which I might add is quick, incredibly detailed, and fun, but I would never say he has used anybody else's ideas as his own. Besides, it's scenario making! If we didn't build upon everyone elses ideas how would we ever improve our work? If anything I would say this burst of ww2 storytelling has developed indepently and in tandem. So please, let's forgo the "he was here first stuff" and just work on making some really cool stuff for civ2!

Yep, thanks, Periclies and Harry!
I would never dream of stealing someone's ideas.
Especially my much-respected buddies here on Poly!
Vendetta takes an entirely different approach to a WW2 what-if world.
Mine is set in a 1980';s top-gun world, Harry's is set in the late 1940's world.
A slight difference, I would deem.
And there are no graphical or technical similarities, save the CIV2 scenario system.
As Harry says, we all love doing WW2 stuff, and the more the merrier, I say.
