It was a lot of gerilja activity in Yugoslavia, but the game does not simulate this at the moment. So no occupation there either.

      Unfortunately.
But on the other hand without the need to maintain occupation forces, Yougoslavia/ Bulgaria/Argentina/almost any country can become a superpower in HOI.

True, they have a lot of forces located on Balkans, but their major headache was occupied Russian territory. In occupied Russia partizans often controlled entire regions.

This is surely the most ridiculous game ever. I'm sticking with Civ 3.

Don't expect them, and they'll come.

Norway... I must find a reason to hate Norway.
You have a reason to hate one Pole; one our princess, when she became the queen of Denmark, made some your national hero die. It was such a nice story... She became queen of Sweden, and later Denmark
(and England, as her husband conquered it; but bad English don't remember about him, just his son, Canute the Great), but she loved that Norwegian only, and he didn't love her (hey! Now I have a reason), so she prompted his fall and enslavement of Norway. Good girl. It was in XI century I think. I may have got something wrong. Her name was Swietoslawa, but You barbarian Scandinavian couldn't pronounce it and there were some strange names You called her, like Storrada or something.

Another Polish princess (either it was queen of Hungary or Swietoslawa again), when one guy wanted to marry her,
and she found him annoying, killed him by herself.
I like those medieval stories. So romantic.

                                .
well as everyone knows Fortinbras of Norway defeated the Poles on the Ice, before returning and getting the throne of Denmark. Er, everyone who's read Hamlet knows it, that is.
