Could someone please tell me, what that thing next to the house (on the ground...) on the second last picture, I posted, is???
And what is that thing on the second last and third last picture? Is that fog, or a river...or what is that?
And one third note... I can't seem to find any police departments or fire departments on any picture... has anyone else found them? Or do they just look like normal buildings, or are there none of them?
To the left of the house is a modern sculpture. To the right of the house in the park is some sort of underground bunker. It could be a subway exit, a nuclear shelter or almost anything
I'm sure the blue stuff is water even though it looks rather insubstantial.
There was a picture floating around of fire engines hosing down a blazing building. I didn't hunt for sight of the actual station tho.
Has anyone actually seen a house (not industri), that wasn't directly connected to a road?
I was just playing a little SC3K, and noticed, that often there's many houses placed behind some other houses. I therefor just checked the screenshots of SC4, to see if they have fixed the problem, but I couldn't find any screenshot, were a residental/commercial house wasn't placed next to the road (I mean, so they don't have to drive through their neighbors house to get to the road, some houses are placed away from the road, but they just have a large garden )

I thought Maxis had said that wasn't going to happen in SimCity 4. The game was going to automatically draw resedential roads in so that houses are always on roads.
About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. With a simple click daily at the Hunger Site you can provide food for those who need it.
Which side of the road does the cars drive? Like in England, or as in...well...almost the rest of the world?
Just curious, since the part I hated much about the version of SC3K I have (if there's a difference), is the cars all drive on the wrong side of the road, while I noticed in the videos they all drive on the right side (Same side as the rest of the world).
In SC so far you've only had to place the major roads and all the small roads have been invisible, allowing for the 'three tiles deep' rule in light residential, commercial and industrial. With the fantastic level of detail in SC4 perhaps they have decided to get rid of that, but I haven't seen any different road sizes. I'd be a little miffed if you had to connect the cottages of a rural village together with the same major road tiles you use for the centre of a metropolis.
