I haven't beaten the game yet. What plot thread do you think that they will pick up on for the expansion?I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

I am enjoying Warcraft 3.
It is significantly different in the sense that the new Hero unit concept is very critical to winning.
But, I like it overall.
The thing that I do NOT like is the fact that you must have a decent system otherwise the game will drag like crazy in intense battles.
I have an Athlon 700 mhz with 256ram and the game runs fine, but only because i added 128ram. I used to have only 128 and the game dragged.
I specifically went out and doubled my ram for the game. It works great now.
Although I have to wonder why Warcraft 3 would need so much computer power when Earth2150 and The Moon Project have MUCH better grapihics and don't require such computing power...
Warcraft 3's graphics are barely reminiscent (sp?) of Earth2150...(That's what I was expecting..)
I wonder why Blizzard couldn't do what the designers of Earth 2150 and The Moon Project did? While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

interesting tniem...
that would explain it, and i guess that is a good idea. I hadn't thought of it that way.
It certainly is cheaper to go buy ram instead of a new cpu or motherboard and trying to redesign your system.
Dino, what are the specs for the rest of your system? While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

So what's everyone's favourite race? I prefer the Undead and the Nightelves right now - I need to test them in random games against the AI though.Interested in creating a TBS game similar to Colonization?

Orcs ueber alles!
I beat the game - what's funny is that the last mission I started an expansion on the left and all the wisps over there were killed, but not the tree of life... then, when one of the huge rushes came they destroyed my town... so with 2 minutes to go I was left with one tree of life. I uprooted the tree and ate some trees to restore health and hide myself a little but they never came to destroy the tree. I sat there and watched as the enemy marched back and forth around the map and never went after that tree in the expansion.I never know their names, But i smile just the same

in the last mission I totally kicked their asses (well, not totally)
they were finally getting to my town when the clock rean out (and they were only getting to it because they went arround my defensive line)

II took too long to get challenging, IMO.
there was only like 3 levels which I lost once and had to play again
