Everyone except the Duke and his son were quite angry when you put garlic in the communion wine. They suggested you ask the cooks about what tastes good, and not rely on old superstions.

Shortly after midnight had struck, I dressed rapidly and leaving my rooms as silently as possible made my way to the kitchens. Having no lantern, I was lucky not to stand on the sleeping form of the fish cook lying on the floor by the fire. These poor servants that have no proper quarters, not even in a stable, may God have mercy on them. Thus, in the darkness and silently, I made my way to the old fireplace and climbed the steps.

Normally I would hate the taste of garlic in my wine, but when there's a vampire around, then you can't be too careful. Having garlic with your wine is like having your medicine with sugar. (Any efforts at a Mary Poppins song will be met with swift punishment)
