Is that because you're still mad that you weren't checking this thread for traps and got caught?

I should be getting BGII very soon though. Well, I sent off a cheque today, so if the seller is straight (not a bad rating ) then I'll be able to play through from one to the other. In about a year's time, when I finally get round to finishing it.
Mind you, the good duchess has announced that she's going away again for another weekend at the end of May, so maybe I can get a lot played then.

Are you getting BG2 second-hand, or from a third party retailer new? Either way - RESIST THE TEMPTATION to spoil the end of BG1 by peeking.

I'm getting it second-hand. The person selling it said that they looked at it a bit, realised that it would take hours of their life to play, and put it back into the box. Foolish!

Since its ok to talk about fantasy worlds in a DnD thread, and to talk about WW2 history in a PG2 thread, would it be ok to talk about my boring chores around the house in a "the Sims" thread, assuming we someday get another one?

It's about as exciting as a game of the Sims.

What have you seen so far Doc? I got mine from one of the associated dealers on amazon, but I've seen people on eBray selling both BG1 and 2 for decent prices, so that's definitely something to think about.

Well there are a few there from £1 upwards. I don't have paypal though, and I'm not keen on it. I saw BG1 (no xpack) online for £9 new, and I think the xpack and BG2 will fall into my lap anyway.

I always pay by cheque, and have never used PayPal. Especially since many people selling on eBray these days have started to charge a premium if you want to pay with PayPal. Yuck.

If you've got one of those fancy eBray tracker programmes then you can get stuff much cheaper than by just bidding straight off. But I don't bother with them - I think they're cheating.

If I sign up just so I can get sellers' email addresses is it quick and painless?
