    • This is my house now. I tend to collect all sources of light. I also am running out of places to put them. There are some upstairs too.
I know about the light thing. The houses are soooo dark if you don't do that. Kind of annoying, but I love collecting cnadles and such.

why are you using a Dwarven Halberd? They are one of the crappiest weapons in the game.
      What makes it so crappy?

Well, I'm starting fresh and moving to a new HD. So I'll throw this question out: on a clean install, what mods do I have to have?
Myy friend Derek keeps raving about the Combat Enhanced mod. It sounds pretty cool.

Ahh, I'm up to that mission (among many many others). I have yet to get to that ruin before being loaded down with loot to sell of though. Too many nice shrines or tombs or settlements in the way.
Ahh yes, that is one of my problems too. Soo much loot, and so little strength. I compulsivesly stock pile crap in my overflowing loot bag.
Does anybody know if the plants ever regenerate the pods, anthers and such that they give away?

      • I have a feeling that they do regenerate from time to time. Or someo of them do, anyway. I think I have picked plants multiple times, but I'm not sure.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

        • Yeah me too.Taht's why I asked. I know my friend Derek got a mod where you can create your own house, and he ahs a trap door to a secret room underneath his house with infinite of every type of plant, and mineral, or something like that.

          • I wouldn't know whether they regenerate yearly (My major character hasn't quite made it to 350-odd days yet) but they definitely don't reproduce monthly, or at least not every plant does.
I've made a few expeditions to fort Frostmoth lately and repeatedly checked a few of the more plentiful locales to no effect.

            • I know they don't do monthly, I've tried that. I went back to Seyda Neen, after screwing around in Balmora and Vivec for a while, IIRC about 2 1/2 to 3 months maybe, and there still were no new plants. Which ot me kind odistressed. I don't want ot end up ahving to buy all of my freaking herbs and such.

              • I am always picking plants for alchemical purposes, and have yet needed to resort to buying them.

                • I am positive plants regenerate over time. One of my chars is a hard-core alchemist, and she often takes from the same plant. It takes a time for plants to regenrate though, and I'm not sure how long it is.

                  • Buying ingredients isn't that bad. When starting a new character, I bounced from town to town buying ingredients and selling potions to the Creeper. It allowed me to pay for decent equipment and some training before I even did the Seyda Neen missions.

And yeah, making money with potions is easy .

                            • What are some good spells to use against enemies that are tough?

I'm in Mournhold(?) at the moment and a guy dressed completely in ebony armour decided that I must die. I am of course wearing high ordinator armour that I "borrowed" from someone previously guarding a shop. Despite that, I found it very difficult to kill the guy and needed many a potions just to stay alive. His armour wasn't even better than my current.

                              • Skanky, that guy, Ganeor, has ridicilous luck, and that's why you can barely hit him.

Generally, if you're a wizard in Mounrhold, you're more or less screwed, mainly because the enemies you face over there have very good magic resistance or even the ability to reflect spells.
