Why not me? I'd make a wonderful dictator. I could personally supervise the illegal medical experimnents. Say, how about a black market on living Irqaqi bodies to be sold to major pharmaceutical companies? I could have Iraq up and working in no time flat!

Actually I think that America is in a state fo serious decline. And I am not as pro-American as people here think. In fact I have written a book about the hypocrisy of Americans and our propensity to give God the credit or blame for our own selfish desires. I support the United States on this forum because of it's left leaning, anti-American majority. If the left would come up with some logic to support their ridiculous assertions then maybe you could convert me. As it stands now I am acting as a counterweight.

          5) If the left did have facts to back up their anti-American assertions, they could convince me not to be pro-American.

And you close with a quote from a socialist. I love it.

And orange, Mill was a liberal capitalist. Though I guess you could call him socialist if you were thinking of those anarchy people .

Do you have a problem with someone who gleans the best from both sides orange? I am almost in direct center btw, kind of makes you think what Apolyton is doesn't it?

                  1. I did not say that.
                  2. Yes, that is true.

Well 1 out of 5 is not too bad for a socialist I guess.

No, i have a problem with someone that contradicts his own thoughts.

You say you've written a book about how the US is hypocritical, yet you say in the same paragraph that leftists (who often are anti-American) have no proof to back up their beliefs, therefore you become pro-American to counter balance it.

Either you're pro-America policies or you're not. You seem to indicate that you're not, so why change your mind just because others who share the same views on American Policy differ on economic and domestic policy?

I find it hilarious that the right here claim they are centrists and that Poly is full of anti-American lefties, and many Poly lefties who claim to be centrist retreat to CGN and claim that Poly is rife with quasi-fascist pro-American blind flag-waving patriotism.

Depends on what you're looking at, I suppose. For America, this is definitely left-wing. Very left wing. For the world, it's probably slightly right-wing.

I am pro common sense. Something that is often lacking at Apolyton. I support the current administration because it is not as bad as the previous one. And I do not believe in basing my philosopy of life on irrational hatred for a nation that is part good and part bad like all other nations in this world.

Whether its left or right is not that important. Its that both side are claiming the other has overun the sensibility of the majority. Effectively both sides are claiming defeat (or at least to being the underdog). That is what is amusing.
