Any hope of getting Wickenheiser's year end stats from the tier II Finnish league from one of you evil, evil Finns? I can't find anything in English language internet. She got a lot of media attention over here in her first few games but then nothing. Did she perform reasonably well?
Oh and PM me if you really don't want any English in this thread. I could always delete it.Comment

Even given that she only played part of a season it seems pretty clear that the women's best hockey player is a very mediocre men's team player.Comment

Yeah... she played about third of the season, but still was nineteenth in the team point rankings. And "shots: zero" in both the actual series and the playoffs is also a good indicator.
She didn't have lots of "minus points", that is, the opposing team didn't score much when she was on the ice, but I can't analyse more since I don't remember if she's a defence or an offence player (whatever the proper terms are).Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. She gets a lot of points on the women's national team. But more of a Messier style player than Gretzky if that is possible for women's hockey. I wasn't able to see any games that she played for Salamat but I think she was centering a checking line.Comment

I would like to take this opportunity to say that I know very little about ice hockey. Just stuff like "scoring good, losing puck bad".
