You know they don't have a clue about the real world, as Bill told me so MANY times, why let it bother you?

Where did you get that? Not all americans, MOST. And most are not stupid, ignorant, ignorant is the word.
They follow what leaders say ALL THE TIME!! After the war started 51% were convinced that Saddam was responsible for the WTC, 68% dont know their continents, GEORGE BUSH thought that Toronto was an american city, in your weather report on TV the map is of the US only, here in canada we have Canada AND the US eventhough they dont give the weather down there, the average american cant place france, germany, spain, turqui or even Iraq on the globe, most americans dont know where Montreal is, most americans think that american beer is strong beer when it's really water, most americans think that they won the war in Vietnam, most americans think that they really go to war to make or keep peace when it's 95% of the time for economical reasons, and I could go on and on and on and on...
Now if you are offended by this is probably that you consider your self within "most" americans, which I never implied.

          Face it, it's the truth.

Don't know about French, but there sure is plenty of Canadian whine in this thread.

Dumbest case of french boycott i heard was a french restaurant closing in NY because of lack of costumers. And the ****ing restaurant wasnt even owned by a french-american!

I hope that every last one of the pussified, beret-wearing, garlic-munching perverts is run out of America, taking all his stinky cheeses with him. We don't need your white flag and poodles here, mister!

Yes, I must admit that the American school system has focused more on the math and hard sciences and less on the social sciences. It's a shame.

You throw around all these percentages based on survey research. I laugh at that. I work for a survey research firm. There is crap research and good research. We can make the numbers say anything through biased or crappy sampling. Which one do you think will be sensationalized. Actually you're showing your own ignorance by blindly believing all of those statistics. Hmmm, is that different than other people believing what they've heard.
You'd do better to base your beliefs on things you've experienced.
Do you know any americans personally. If so, were they ignorant?
How about the american posters here?
That's all I'm asking, don't believe everything you hear. Experience it yourself.

Granted, there are certain areas of the US where I have experienced truely ignorant people. But the majority have been the exact opposite.

                      on another note
I don't think it's hypocritical. And I agree that France was doing nothing different than the US has done, time and time again. But does that really make a difference. If the French want to boycott American products because they don't like what we're doing. Fine, vote with your wallet. It's the best way to make yourself heard. We have that same right. The motives are really immaterial.

I would have kept it going longer, but I was afraid that it might get picked up and used by a genuine fracophobe.

Rah, I agree that surveys can be crap, but I go with the average...again. Most surveys point to what I stated before, let's assume that 50% are crap, then 50% are right.

How about the american posters here. (most of them anyway )
What is your opinion of their level of ignorance?

Dear lord. Are you really optimistic, or really idiotic?

edit Nevermind, I remember the rest of the thread. Next question!
