  • I'm a 'Victim'

LOL, a bunch of drunks stopped me rollerblading home at 9:00PM and decided to shove me over.

I tried to explain that I wasn't American, etc etc, but all they saw was a white face speakin english. Had to listen to the usually "Bushie bad, F U Usa' speech". The shoving was kinda pathetic after I got up because they were so piss-assed drunk on soju. I just wiggled away and put on some speed.

    Thank Odin I'm back now.

First time anything physical happened to me in Korea.

I heartily must say it is not typical and Korea is still a great place for an expat.

Nah. If they were that stupid, they might have done something more than push him down in that case.

Yes it is. I have a team called Dallas Dwarf Tossers.
Ask around. A few at ACS are familiar with it.

Koreans big. HA! I guess it's all relative.
To you short****s, they probably are.

You should have been polite 'Hey guys, come on, there's nothing to worry about here, let's go to a bar, first round is on me!', and when they get their drinks, distract them for a second and poison their drinks.

It's not confined to Dallas, or even Texas.

"For Beetlejuice completists, here's the brief Amityville, N.Y. police report detailing how cops and State Liquor Authority investigators busted up that recent dwarf tossing exhibition at the Odyssey Bar. Beetlejuice, a/k/a Lester Green, was ticketed along with his manager, the always annoying Joey Boots, a/k/a Joseph Bassolino. We're confused about Beetle's real age, though. Last November, The New York Post reported he was 33. According to the d/o/b on this report, Beetle's age has plummeted to 25. (2 pages)"

                          How to Toss a Dwarf

Because sometimes the dwarf won’t leave on his own.

                          Maxim, September 1999

Dwarf tossing is easy, says 6’7" Sean Rooney, who’s been tossing his 4’2" twin brother, Frank The Jolly Dwarf, since 1987. Got one you’d like to toss? Then we’ve got what you need: Details!

                          Equipment
First, get the dwarf’s permission before you toss him. While tossers don’t require any special tackle, safety comes first for the little tossee, who needs a padded helmet and a harness. The harness, fitted with two handles on the back, makes the dwarf easier to grip. (He can get a bit slippery after a hard day’s tossing.) Just make sure he has a soft place to land.

                          Technique
Grab the handles on the dwarf’s back and stand sideways, with your feet shoulder width apart. Swing the dwarf back as high as you can, and then, in one swift motion, hurl him forward. Note: Do not attempt to gain velocity by repeatedly swinging the dwarf. “If you swing him two or three times, he’ll flip over and land on his back,” says Sean. And nothing spoils a good toss like a non-aerodynamic flipping dwarf.

                          PC alert
The Little People of America, a national support group for persons of small stature, takes a dim view of dwarf tossing. “They really don’t like it,” Frank shrugs. “They feel it’s degrading. I disagree. I’m having a good time, and nobody’s hurt.” To see Frank in action, check out www.jollydwarf.com.

glad you didn't retort back in native speech.

doubt that calling them kehsekidul would have helped much. or michinseki. or shippalseki.

but i bet it would've made you feel better if you saw the expressions on their faces when they realized you could speak korean.
