    Oh, bull****, MtG.

Lancer starts a celebratory thread, Curt spams the **** out of it, and Lancer gets banned?

Yeah? You can kiss my ass, too.
I'm banning myself for 48, other than Lyrics Thread.
    Finally! Something I can protest!

Many of the talking heads are in awe over these events. They cannot believe that the people of Iraq are happy to see the Americans and Brits. Maybe this is what was meant by "shock and awe"? I have seen two of the skeptics eat crow so far, but quite humbly I might add. I pity anyone who is not happy at this turn of events.

When people don't die I'm happy.

That war was unjust and produced much suffering.

I'm surprised there wasn't fiercer fighting in Bagdat.

But pragmatism towards betterment of life is the only right choice. If the world doesn't abandon the Iraqis now, and help forge a better future then this future would be a blessing.

                    • I got this PM from Boddington (but he will have to answer paiktis himself):

Please post on the Saddam-deposed thread that I'm happy and am wondering where the French, Greeks and Che are!

                        • Boddy is too of a troll to admit this is not about who's wrong or right. I'm glad that the anti-war movement made the US/UK as careful as humanly possible and I'm surprised that there wasn't more fighting in Bagdat.

Hopwever the end result was known before hand.

                          The real test starts now...

                          • I wonder how many people have been banned during this war?

                            • The freakishness and suffering of this war are not "whipped off" btw.

This whole deal actually begins now.

One thing though that cynically was good was that there wasn't much fighting in Bagdat. Now if guerilla warfare doesnt errupt, Iraq is not abandoned or stripped clean of all its resources for the benefit of multinationals and terrorism doesnt come back in full swing, then the future could be better.
