the thing is very, very few people actually vote FOR the BNP, most of the people who vote for them are voting against the major parties who they feel aren't capable of representing their interests.

i don't know if anyone saw this week's question time but there was a fairly sizeable chunck devoted to the local elections (in burnley) and the BNP. the people that said they would for the BNP didn't come out in support of what the BNP stands for, but rather attacked labour for not listening to them and said that none of the other parties offered anything different.

until the major parties start listening to people's concerns about asylum and related issues, support for the BNP will grow.

Yes. But I don't think it's a good thing.

I am a great believer in melting pots. How does multi-culturalism lead to less racism? people are far less inclined to dislike each other on a racial level, if they share the culture. Actually, when culture becomes the same, racism is almost non-existant, despite people having different ethnic backgrounds. e.g. arab society, jewish society ( The ones that I am most familiar with ).

BNP councillors will press for the power to immediately evict travellers/ gypsies from
private or council lands and to ensure that they are held accountable for their actions. Untaxed vehicles on such sites should be wheel-clamped until the tax is paid.

This is my favourite part of the BNP Local Election manifesto. A shiny penny goes to the first person spotting the flaw in it.

Well, I'm Flemish, so we didn't take part in the Congolese holocaust, we were too busy being repressed by the Francophones...
