      • That's like a five year old saying "I don't have the cookie therefore I didn't take it" despite the crumbs around his mouth. I've read enough of your drunken stories over the years at Apolyton to know you've broken laws concerning underage drinking and disruption of the peace type stuff.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

          • Everyone's broke a law at some point, so that argument is ridiculous.

            • You've got to take account of the severity of the breakage. Having a drink at 17 is hardly severe.

They should keep it behind closed doors if they value their lives. Maybe it's OK in the promiscuous and liberal south due to ****ter Europeans immigrating, but in the north and Wales there at least remains some culture that isn't fond of delinquents.
Just from reading through this thread, it is obvious you are both.

You have been warned and restricted in the past for your anti gay crap... I guess you will never learn.

                See you in a week.

The type of person in Wales you are lauding- those who despise Asylum Seekers and gays- what will happen if they get their way and get rid of them?

Who do you think will be next on their list?

Not exactly crime of the century stuff then, I dont know anyone who hasnt broken a law in their life, parking ticket, speeding, whatever. Think Bod is referring to the miggings, prostitution, theft etc.

Just ask those poor people in Dover what its like to live with a load of asylum seekers.

                    Send em back.

Honey, the nature or severity of the crime wasn't the thing in question. Bod's self-righteous moral highground was the thing under question.

I'm willing to bet that I've lived in a tad few more countries than you have. I've been an immigrant to the USA and Canada so I know what it's like. You leave your home, your culture because you want a better life. And luv, you work for it. Being white and fluent in English may have gotten my family out of the worst of it but the first few years while governments sort out your status means you're taking the longest shifts and the crappiest hours. Consider how many native born Britons would be willing to work a chips shop at midnight to cater for the afterpub crowd.

I've seen what lengths people go to to improve their lives. Living in America, there's quite a few Mexican migrant workers around the summertime. A whole lot of 'Rican maids and cleaners. Canada's got its share of Indians, Arabs, Somalis and everyone else. So I try to be a bit more aware of the people around me and what they've done. I wish the Turks who run the local kebab shop a happy Eid. I chat with the Indians and Chinese who come into my work. By far they are nicer, better people than any native born lil Englander who mouths off about immigrants to me. Cause the irony is they don't even realise they're talking to one.

Any danger of providing any figures regarding to back up the claim that violent crime is more likely to be perpetrated by Asylum Seekers? I'd hate to think that was an unjustified and barely thought-through knee-jerk reaction, because that would be so unlike most people who speak in favour of the BNP.

(Hint- that was sarcasm. I don't usually signpost this, but it's wasted on the thick.)

Given a choice between Asylum Seekers and barely-literate, self-righteous xenophobes, I'll throw my lot in with the Chinese and Kurds, thanks all the same.

When asylum seeker reach Dover/Folkestone/Ashford very few stay in the area - they disperse around the country.

The Pas de Calais region of France has (at least it did until Sangatte was closed) a much worse problem because of the high concentration of people. You ever wonder why the French were willing to see them leave for Britain? Compared to the French side the the UK has it laughably easy.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Perhaps homosexuals don't like to have to witness heterosexual couples making out with each other, fortunately they are considerably more tolerant. If you don't like it Stew, don't watch, don't attend gay pride marches, no one is asking you to. Perhaps watching two men making out with each other makes you feel a tiny bit uncomfortable, after all, heterosexuality has hardly been a raging success for you, has it?

And I've heard you aren't averse to a bit of homoerotic frottage when you have had a few

                            • Sorry, this was begging to be posted:

Retaliation by gay people - ask every straight friend you have the following questions:
                              1. What do you think caused your heterosexuality?
                              2. When and how did you decide you were a heterosexual?
                              3. Is it possible that your heterosexuality is just a phase you may outgrow?
                              4. Is it possible that your heterosexuality stems from a neurotic fear of others of the same sex?
                              5. If you have never slept with a person of the same sex, is it possible that all you need is a good gay lover?
                              6. Do your parents know that you are straight? Do your friends and/or housemates know? And how did they react?
                              7. Why do you insist on flaunting your heterosexuality? Can't you just be who you are and stop flaunting it?
                              8. Why do heterosexuals place so much emphasis on sex?
                              9. Why do heterosexuals feel compelled to seduce others into their lifestyle?
                              10. A disproportionate majority of child molestors are heterosexual. Do you consider it safe to expose children to heterosexual teachers?
                              11. Just what do men and women do in bed together? How can they know how to please each other, being so natomically different?
                              12. With all the societal support marriage recieves, the divorce rate is spiralling. Why are there so few stable relationships among heterosexuals?
                              13. Statistics show that lesbians have the lowest rates of sexually transmitted diseases. Is it safe for women to maintain a heterosexual lifestyle and run the risk of disease and pregnancy?
                              14. How can you become a whole person if you limit yourself to exclusive heterosexuality?
                              15. Considering the menace of overpopulation, how could the human race ever survive if everyone were heterosexual?
                              16. Could you trust a heterosexual therapist to be objective? Don't you feel that he/she might be inclined to influence you in the direction of his/ her own learning?
                              17. There seem to be very few happy heterosexuals. Techniques have been developed that might enable you to change if you really want to. Have you considered trying aversion therapy?
                              18. Would you want your children to be heterosexual, knowing the problems that they would have?
"Love the earth and sun and animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown . . . reexamine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency" - Walt Whitman

                              • Let's face it, it is all subjective. Perhaps Stew could concentrate that ire of his in a productive direction...there are a lot of problems in this world, and looking for scapegoats is not going to solve them.
