So maybe they were after that high ranking Kurdish politician?

Didn't notice that. I just opened the thread five minutes ago. Anyway, what is that comment supposed to mean? A simple attempt at trolling to start some flame war, or some racist comment about the superiority of Americans?

I was just thinking the same thing. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Exactly. More Americans were killed last year by gun murders from other Americans than in more than 3 September 11ths. Yet "Gun Control" is deemed as unAmerican.

I've spoken to veterans of WW2, the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf Wars and all of them (NZers, Aussies, Brits) told me that they were often as scared of the Americans as the enemy. In their words, "those guys would shoot at anything as soon as they saw it."

What is wrong here? Do the US armed forces have poor weapon release protocols or something? I mean, the Brits haven't been machine gunning civilian vehicles at checkpoints as far as I know.

US soldiers are probably all hopped up on amphetamines.

There is something seriously wrong with US rules of engagement and target identification.

I think trigger happy is more like it.

In Vietnam Australian patrols would actually hide when US forces went by.

This is exactly what I heard, from the horse's mouth, so to speak. What hell is wrong with them?
