Didn't notice that. I just opened the thread five minutes ago. Anyway, what is that comment supposed to mean? A simple attempt at trolling to start some flame war, or some racist comment about the superiority of Americans?

Exactly. More Americans were killed last year by gun murders from other Americans than in more than 3 September 11ths. Yet "Gun Control" is deemed as unAmerican.
I've spoken to veterans of WW2, the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf Wars and all of them (NZers, Aussies, Brits) told me that they were often as scared of the Americans as the enemy. In their words, "those guys would shoot at anything as soon as they saw it."
What is wrong here? Do the US armed forces have poor weapon release protocols or something? I mean, the Brits haven't been machine gunning civilian vehicles at checkpoints as far as I know.
